About this project

UP AND UP is a webseries about a new culture of extraordinary women who are starting businesses and leading movements in New York City. UP AND UP proves that dreams are worth fighting for and demonstrates the power of women living their full potential. Kickstarter funding will help cover production costs so we can make the best show possible as we continue shooting through the fall. The Premise:
A new phenomenon is taking place in New York City. Thousands of people are starting businesses, leading movements and creating a better world -- one that’s smarter, richer, sustainable and more fun. UP AND UP brings audiences into this dynamic culture by following the professional lives of some of our most compelling, young leaders as they take their endeavors to the next level over the next six months.

The Cast: 
Our cast includes four fascinating, young women in New York City, who bring a new generation of icons to the forefront of business and culture:

Emily May Is the Executive Director of Hollaback!, a global movement to end sexual street harassment. This year, she'll lead her team of international volunteers in a new campaign to help people intervene when they see someone being sexually harassed, and Emily will continue to develop as one of the most important civil rights leaders of our generation.

Emily Doubilet and Jessica Holsey Are the Owners of Susty Party, an eco-friendly party and tableware supply company that helps people party in a sustainable way. This year, they'll get more people to party with eco-friendly products and build their business into a leader of green product supplies.

Kristen Dolle Is the Founder and CEO, Pink Brick House, a start-up media agency that creates exciting pop culture for smart women. This season, you'll see Kristen develop a new platform for New York City artists and entrepreneurs, which is designed to set a new standard for collaborative business and consumer-made content.

The Production:
We began shooting over the summer with a very small budget and we were very happy with the results. But we don’t just want to make this webseries good, we want it to be great. We know exactly what we need to deliver the highest quality of content in the shortest amount of time, for the least amount of money. Your pledges will be used for filming, which includes shooters, equipment and basic transportation over the next few months.
