About this project
The Village Theatre’s current location in the Old Fourth Ward of Atlanta is being demolished this year. Luckily, we’ve found an even better location at Pencil Factory Lofts, a development nearby.
Our new spot will have 33% more seating and additional classroom space. This will allow us to teach even more improv classes and workshops and accommodate more patrons at our performances.
We’re asking for additional funding to cover risers, sound equipment, stage and bathroom construction and contractor fees. We’re very excited about the possibility of Kickstarter being part of the process in making the move happen.

The Village Theatre is an improv comedy theatre based in Atlanta. Since ’08, we’ve been performing long and short form improv shows three nights each week.
Tickets are only $5-$10 which allows us to be the most affordable entertainment option in the city. We also offer a five-level improv class program, teach ongoing workshops, and host and perform private events year round.
We've been in the top 3 Atlanta nightlife spots on Yelp for over a year
and offer our patrons raw, cutting-edge comedy that will simply make your day better. From hipsters to those breaking their hips, Atlanta loves us!
