What is Kung Fu Swagga! ?

KUNG FU SWAGGA!  is a comic book that is inspired by my love for hip-hop culture, Shaw Brothers' Kung Fu flicks, Western comics, Japanese anime/manga (especially battle manga!), and video games. It has been a labor of love that I have been cultivating for over ten years and ready to share to the world 

The plan is to use the funds that you the backer kindly donate to produce a complete first issue (including art and lettering fees) to put in the hands of potential publishers in hopes of breaking into the industry.

Kung Fu Swagga! will be a monthly six-issue, 22-32 pages mini-series (leading to a possible ongoing), b&w.

The series is aimed to appeal new readers who are new to the comic scene. Readers that dig the high octane action of Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball manga meets Barry Gordy's The Last Dragon meets Super Street Fighter 4 meets Scott Pilgrim!

What is it about?

Jason Stonewall, is your typical American teenager - - who also happens to be a bad-ass martial artist! Join him and his misadventures with his family and friends as he deals with high school, girls, and rivals (in romance and combat!). This is Jason's story this is - - - Kung Fu Swagga !

In the first issue, Jason and his Pops, Raymond Stonewall return to the town of Brickhaven after a year long training sojourn overseas in the East. Now the young martial arts prodigy must deal with his first day in high school, b-boy bullies, girls, and the menacing leader of Brickhaven High's most notorious gang, SHO'GUNNZ- - FA'SHO!

The Goal?

I want to be able to pitch KFS! to potential publishers but if possible I will self-publish the comic myself. I'm very passionate about this and feel that we have a cool little comic that the world is ready to see!
