Tree Adolescence

Update #4 · Mar 31, 2012 · comment

Just a quick update to show you guys the Wishing Tree in progress. Here is a photo of me applying the papier-mache to the trunk. We continue fleshing out the sculpture tomorrow, and paint on Sunday. Justin took this awesome picture last night from 8-9 feet up on the ladder, looking down.

A possibility I've heard via social media is that our Wishing Tree might have its own twitter account, from which the wishes written on leaves on April 7th and throughout May will be tweeted, and shared with the world. This prospect makes me very, very happy.

Thanks again to our amazing backers for making this all possible. You guys ROCK.

Can't be at Chicago Spring yourself to participate? Donate five dollars or more, and we will ask what wish for a better future we can write on a leaf for you! We'll even take a photo and email it to you, so you know that your voice was heard through this project.

In addition to writing your wish on a leaf for you and sending you a photo, we will permanently write your name onto the bark of the Wishing Tree. Your name will be seen by others as they attach their leaves/wishes to the branches, and you will be a part of the project forever.

    Estimated delivery: Apr 2012
