One word “WOW” - Thank you so much for your support!

When controlling the botiful, it is possible that one may accidentally get the botiful to move out of the wi-fi signal area in which (over long distance) it essentially becomes more than useless until you get back or have someone move it physically. Could you program it so that in such a scenario, the botiful just reverses back on its path to the last point where it could get a decent signal??

I would make two botifuls fight each other with a lightsaber.

Thank you for all your contributions so far! Below is a brief synthesis of the ideas.
- Long distance calls
- Multi-parties conferences calls: several people sharing the robot view, several parties controlling the robot,
- Loud sounds like: “Shut UP!”
- Accessories like a LED light
- Auto-answering calls
- Hold a tablet! Actually I received a lot of emails form people using the Nexus 7: I really need to get one. But it won’t work with Botiful. I need to come up with a new design.
- Races between robots: maybe with a color detection sensor underneath Botiful to detect marks on the floor to keep score!
This is really exciting ! I will keep updating the list to collect all the ideas,
Thank you !

Will botiful apps will be able to send data via wireless network? This would be very helpful, cause i like the idea, that a botiful can do a local action, like switching the light on and off, etc. When botiful is able to send data to a local service this would be no problem. Additional Suggestion: Enable geolocation / area related botiful apps (eg. botiful examined a local botiful app, do you want to download and activate the app? Proceed and enable local actions.)

I would like to make a botiful race. Should be much more fun than carerra, 'cause you have the view from the vehicle and you can move free! Ramps should be in the race track. An additional birds view with a web cam would be cool.

Getting it to hold a tablet would be fantastic. Then you could have people really participating on panels and conferences, etc... Would love to see a group of Botifuls in Qatar for the next climate meeting... I would have them on the panels I arrange for sure... ;)
Would be great to have a meeting robot that helps to save the planet. It could also be used to hand out rewards for things like Transformative step of the day that I was running at the last climate meeting.

When I go to business trip , I will activate Botiful at home to find my family and talk.

Mainly I want to use Botiful to keep an eye on things at home while I'm away, but another use that occurred to me is looking for things in small spaces -- maybe a Botiful with a headlight?
Creator Brendan Millard on July 29, 2012
Oh, and what about the idea of one that would hold a tablet like the iPad or Galaxy Tab?
Creator Brendan Millard on July 29, 2012
Hi Claire,
I'm wanting to use a bunch of Botiful to enable my family to talk to each other more easily and add a bit if fun to our conversations.
my wife and son are in Taiwan, I am in Germany, my mother, sister and brother are in Australia...
It would be great to be able to use Botiful in a sort of conference mode with 3 or more parties able to use them together, perhaps some sort of shared access to the devices?
Also be cool to be able to do Botiful to Botiful calls, each person controlling the other Botiful with a second, perhaps older, device :)
Cheers
Brendan

This will be wandering around my house while away. Don't you have not knowing if you left a window or garage door open? Also, sometimes my daughter needs a bang on the door to wake her before I call. Lastly, occasionally I need to tell roommates something and don't want to get out of bed.. e.g.: THAT VIDEO GAME CAN BE HEARD NEXT DOOR. GET A HEARING AID OR HEADSET!!!
