Kickstarter

First off, let me introduce myself.  My name is Blake, originally from South Carolina.  I have moved about finding new styles and new meaning to my work and have now ended up in New York City.  Please do forgive my writing skills as I do not possess them.  

The project is a Beauty book, black and white pictures from all over the country of various beautiful and eccentric men and women.  I am looking to create various environments within the book that show qualities and differences among each person and each location.  Some of the images will be studio based and many will be location based.  

About the Locations.  These will vary but my main places of travel will be the major cities such as LA, Miami, here in New York, Atlanta, midwest cities such as Dallas, Chicago, Denver and possibly the Pacific Northwest.  I plan to travel by Amtrak or by plane depending on varying cost and time. I do feel Amtrak would be a great solution as it would provide various stopping points along the way and something that I could also share with all of you as a sort of guide.  It also makes sense as I am living in one of the biggest Amtrak hubs and can basically travel from here to just about anywhere in the country.  

About me.  I have always had a creative side but never totally realized it until my first year in college.  I had aspirations about being an Architect but it never came to fruition mainly because of my learning disabilities.  I decided to then go into graphic design and photography later followed.  I am from the south which arts are not as prevalent and very spread out.  It took me a while to adjust and figure out how the mainstream worked.  I moved to Colorado for school and that is where everything started to make sense.  As soon as I had finished and moved to Atlanta, fashion and beauty came into the picture and I haven't looked back ever sense.  I hope this project will create a new chapter in my life and be even more evolved then my work is currently.
