just an update: I rec'd the album and CDs I ordered. Thank you so much. @ErichvonSchiller I usually don't think in terms of bodily harm but I would like to kick Story Records in the shin for not taking the golden social media and advertising media opportunity that Daniel's Kickstarter 2nd album represented. It still can be done, but we lost valuable time. Daniel has more songs to compose ... he's full of lyrics ... his life is changing in so many ways and his mind is clearer. And, Daniel is a great musician, as well. I wish I knew someone who had the ability to showcase Daniel as he deserves. I'll help, if I can. People, let us know how we can help spread Daniel's songs to others. hugs

Yup, my vinyl had someone else's tunes on one side, however UPS showed up today unexpectedly with a corrected version direct from the manufacturer (United Record Pressing). Glad to have the corrected version but a mis-press is kind of cool collectable so of course I'll keep that as well.

Glad you finally got your stuff but I totally concur. Story Records needs to go (their web presence has already all but disappeared... interesting, no?) and I could list a million and one reasons why due to some previous insights, their OBVIOUS incompetence, as well as some not exactly pleasant previous communications with a particular staff member there who shall remainn nameless. What I AM hoping is that this album grabs the attention of a proper record label and proper marketing personnel for Daniel - but that's Daniel's footwork to do for himself. Unfortunately lots of great new artists get ripped by fly-by-night record labels, roped into ridiculous contracts, their careers stagnate, and eventually when the lame record label is through with them or runs out of dough, throws the artist to the curb. Daniel's a smart guy and I hope he doesn't let this label railroad him. That, however, is up to Daniel, and if I were him, I'd be firing as many copies of my CD to as many labels and promoters as possible. **wink wink** I'm behind ya all the way, man! Keep after it!!!

I hated to do it but I did go through Amazon Payments to "Contact the Seller". It was mainly because of the lack of communication. The great thing is that I received my goodies a week later. I'm so happy and wish nothing but success to Daniel. and like the other comment...can't wait for the next LP!!! My 18 yr old son can't wait to wear his new t-shirt to school to spread the word!

I paid $450 for a Walk during the Kickstarter, knowing I could never do it because I am disabled. I asked for nothing. I would do it again, if I had the money.

I kept thinking about that LP. I wanted to hear it. So, in November, I ordered an LP for myself, a CD for my cousin for Christmas, and a CD of each of Daniel's CDs to send to a radio station to help promote Daniel's music. $70 paid in full, via PayPal. Please don't think I'm rich by my donation and then purchase of items. I live only on disability. That's the end to my savings.

I received nothing from Story Records. I read the comments here about no one else getting the LPs until recently. I waited for mine. Nothing.

There is a problem with Story Records. See below:

It is ironic that the very people who tried to promote Daniel's music through communications/social media were not apprised of the status of the merchandise. No emails. Communication is how we helped Daniel get his LP made. Communication is how Daniel's cover of "Creep" went viral.

That success should have been replicated AGAIN. Daniel has talent and a good background story. Good marketing representation could have put Daniel on talk shows and the news in September or October, at the latest.

The CDs could have been made in someone's living room as orders came in and sent the next day. LPs needed more time but ... it's 5 months later!

Story Records has tarnished their reputation. If Daniel was relying on them to promote him and put him back in the spotlight, dissing his backers won't work. It angers me beyond words what Story Records has done. I don't like being "played" and that is exactly what has happened. I have few buttons to push ... "being played" is the top button. It's been pushed.

Story Records doesn't use their email address anymore. No one responded on Daniel's own site, as well. I am not through with Story Records, that's for sure. I'm a disabled tenacious angry disappointed person who has all the time in the world.

It indeed does go to the "contactmustard" address but this is also the address all payments to Story were sent, hence I can only *assume* Daniel is not the only person with access to this address (again don't quote me on that as fact - I don't know with absolute certainty).

Regardless, I think by sending a official note via Amazon channels is the appropriate measure if you can't get any response here on Kickstarter.

BTW & FYI, I submitted my message through Amazon on Wednesday 1/23 and made my post here on here Thurs 1/24. On Fri 1/25, I received notification my package shipped out on Thurs 1/24 and it arrived today (1/28/2013). :o) Finally! Hoorah! I really and TRULY hope no one has to resort to filing an actual claim.

At any rate, many many thanks, Daniel! Spinnin' the tunes all day today. You did a FANTASTIC job and that is, of course, an understatement. Proud of ya , Man! Peace.

For those of you who have waited so long and haven't received anything promised (and it seems like many), I encourage you to visit your Amazon Payments account at https://payments.amazon.com and take some action with Story Records.

1. Click the "sign-in button".

2. Perform a search for the date of the transaction of your Kickstarter donation. When found, click the "Details button" for the transaction. This will bring you to the transaction page for your donation payment. Note the "Transaction ID" at the bottom of the page (you can select and copy it for easy pasting later).

3. Click the white "Problem with this transaction?" bottom on the bottom of the page. You'll now be presented with 2 options. "Contact Seller" and "Submit a Complaint".

4. Click on "Click here to contact the seller". A form will appear. At the top, paste/enter your "Transaction ID", fill out the rest of the form, then click "View Email". Verify the details you entered and then submit. An official email with your concerns will be submitted to Story Records from Amazon and you will receive a copy of the official mail via Amazon as well.

From that point on, wait for a response as long as you are willing. Give them what you feel is sufficient time to respond. If there is no response...

1. Repeat the steps above all the way up to #3, but instead of clicking "Click here to contact the seller", click on "Click here to submit a complaint".

2. On the form that appears, again paste/enter your "Transaction ID" and complete the rest of the form. Make sure to tick the boxes at the bottom of the form and click "Continue" to submit your claim.

Hopefully if enough people (who have not received any of their promised merch) do this, it will hopefully light a fire under Story Records to kick it in gear and either provide what was promised or provide refunds.

I have only thus far, "Contacted the Seller". I've yet to receive any response. I figure I will give it a week and then take the next step and escalate a claim.

Hope this helps and a big sorry to all those folks out there who waited so long, paid a great deal money, and have not received anything.

Lastly, I've noticed that Story Records' website has vanished. (http://www.story-records.com/) That doesn't bode to well with me. I have great faith in Daniel and his music, and I'm certain all the promises he has made thus far are quite sincere and have been made in good faith. That being said, if his record label combo management can't act in a honourable way with Daniel's fan-base, then voices of the fans need to be heard. We ALL want Daniel to succeed in career in future endeavours - ABSOLUTELY! But seeing in the past years what seems like an unprofessional fly-by-night indie "record label" that seems more interested in taking advantage of Daniel's exceptional talent and lining their pockets with Daniel's fans' money - rather than promoting Daniel's talent and lining *HIS* pockets - absolutely infuriates me. Daniel deserves far better than that especially considering the history of his life and his hopes and dreams for the future. Thanks for reading and I hope all works out for the best for all parties concerned - Daniel and fans alike. Peace.
