For the past ten years-or-so, I've wanted to make a shoegaze album. This is something special that I want to do myself, w/out a band.
I've had the privilege of making records over the years with different bands and I'm really proud of them. However, I've always had a special place in my heart for bands like Jesus & Mary Chain, Ride, My Bloody Valentine, etc. I also play a lot of instruments: I want to make a record in this style and have complete creative control over the process. I've never really had an opportunity to make my own album and play everything. It just sounds like fun and I have many ideas I'd like to do, that wouldn't necessarily work with other projects/bands I'm in. Thanks!

If you pledge this much, you're nuts, but tell you what: you get whatever from above. Plus, I'll book a show somewhere in the Midwest on the weekend. You show up to MPLS and we'll squeeze you in the vehicle or rent another car (I'll drive it so we can hang) and you will ride along, hang out, and and join us for the festivities. If you turn out to be, like, a crazy racist cokehead or something this probably isn't going to work out, though. So, please be semi-normal. We should skype before you donate this much. I honestly can't imagine anyone donating this much to be honest. Maybe though!
