Update #3: Program announcement- Bride of Super 8
The folks at Chicago 8: A Small Gauge Film Festival have some exciting news to share with you!
First, we have reached our kickstarter goal! We are overjoyed and want to thank every one of our backers.
We'd like to also announce our closing night program: Bride of Super 8! Reprising the popular Super 8 Rides Again program at Chicago Filmmakers from last year, we'll be inviting around 20 Chicago-area image makers to shoot a roll of Super 8 film and have it premiere (unseen and uncut!) at the show. We're excited to be able to present a celebration of the Chicago community as part of our festival, and especially want to thank Todd Lillethun at Chicago Filmmakers for helping coordinate this program. We'd also like to thank Kodak and Dwayne's Photo Service for donating film and processing.
Thanks! The Chicago 8 team - Karen, Josh, and Jason
Update #2: Progress
We are happy to announce that we have our opening night venue set in place. The following nights will take place at Chicago Filmmakers, our co-sponsor of the Chicago 8 Festival. We are working hard on our programming, and have confirmed a solo program dedicated to the s8 films of a fantastic San Francisco based artist that will be in attendance at our festival. Also, we will have on our opening night, a very special guest from a far away land screening s8 films with live music! Proudly we've added Kodak and Dwayne's Photo to our list of sponsors. Thank you all for your support!
Update #1: News
To our Super (8) supporters!
We wanted to let you know we are already receiving international entries to our film festival! We are also very excited that we are more than halfway to our projected goal and it is all due to your assistance! Thank you!
xoxo
