Karen Johannesen is a filmmaker and the Executive Director & Programmer of Chicago8fest. Karen has exhibited her work at the San Francisco Cinematheque, Anthology Film Archive, The Toronto International Film Festival, The Museum of Modern Art NY, The International Film Festival Rotterdam, The Center of Contemporary Culture in Barcelona, Media City Film Festival, and The Experimental Film Conference in England.

Josh Mabe is a filmmaker and archivist currently living in Chicago. He is the Director of Communications/Operations & Programmer of the Chicago8fest. His work has screened at Chicago Filmmakers, Chicago Underground Film Festival, Images Festival, Ann Arbor Film Festival, and Views from the Avant Garde.

Jason Halprin is a media artist, teacher, and writer. He is a Co-Director of Chicago8fest. He previously served as Asst. Director of The International Experimental Cinema Exposition (TIE) and the Onion City Experimental Film & Video Festival, and as Print Traffic and Technical Director for Reeling: the Chicago LGBT Film Festival. His work has screened at the Austrian Film Museum, The Media City Film Festival, PDX, the Detroit Film Center, and in an alleyway in Buenos Aires, Argentia.
