Connect your iPhone 4S or any smartphone to a tripod with Piquant, a low-cost device that works with most cases.

I created Piquant to give all of my students a low-cost method of shooting steady video with their cell phones.  Piquant is a tripod mount that connects an iPhone or smartphone to any standard ¼” threaded tripod.  With your support, I will be able to mass produce Piquant, enabling anyone interested in making videos with an easy way of creating steady images.  

   

Piquant works with most phones and cases, so anyone with a smartphone can shoot steady video.  Piquant is made with the highest quality American-made suction cups, ensuring that your phone will always be secure.

Piquant works best on surfaces that are smooth and hard.  (See dimensions below.)  

By donating at least $15, you will be “pre-ordering” a Piquant.  Your contribution will lower the barrier to entry for videographers everywhere.  Once I reach my fundraising goal, I will be able to buy enough materials to make my first production run and sell Piquant at an affordable price.

    Not reliably ... but, the larger version will!  I'm currently working on Piquant's big brother.  Stay tuned for updates.

    Piquant will work with any cell phone or case with a smooth back.  As soon as I get my iPhone 5, I will let you know if it works!
