My wife Tamy and I, teamed up in May of 2010 to start a supper club in our apartment in New York City. For an entire year, we hosted different guests based on a very simple concept;  Never the same recipes, never the same people. From a passion project, it quickly grew into a life aspiration which resulted in me quitting my full time gig in advertising to embrace cooking. The dinners migrated from our apartment to other unconventional spaces before we landed on Comodo;  a welcoming restaurant in SoHo.

Comodo, or "comfortable" in Spanish, is a personal love story. The menu is very personal to who I am - an autobiography written in food. This food is what happens when you take a Colombian-Spanish-Mexican-Brazilian-American that has adapted to New York.

With miles of red tape, city permits and endless renovation nightmares, we are finally close to opening. We just need a last push to put the stain on the tables and the glasses behind the bar.
