Just got my Survey. Such a wonderful birthday surprise. :D

The books will be 5.25 x 8, matte laminate, and softcover. Hardcover will have to wait for the pocket books of a big publisher, but then they'll probably insist on screwing up the cover art.

Congrats, man. Looking very much forward to reading the book! Question: Is it gonna be paperback or hardback? Either way it'll be awesome. I'm just curious.

I am positively glowing for you, so much so that I won't even harass you for new writing until the summer.

I just bumped my pledge up to $35 for the $25 reward. Let me know if it costs more to ship to Australia. :)

Congrats on getting funded! I'm excited for this project--sorry I could only give five bucks but it looks really interesting! I randomly came across your project when looking at kickstarters in Brooklyn, and I'm glad I did. Have fun finishing!

Looks like international shipping will be between $10 and $15 dollars. Looking into Media Mail options, which may be cheaper, but I'm not sure I'll qualify, and international transport is a bit fascist in America these days.

Ferdinand von Schenk on February 10

Hi - I just added an adition 15$ for internation shipping, I hope thats enough.
You should really add an information about international shipping costs !

By the way I also came here because of Rich Burlew ;-)

    17. Youplay.thumb
      Jamas Enright on February 9

Is there an international charge for shipping books we should be aware of?

Rich Burlew sent me, but the premise hooked me.

67 Backers • Limited Reward (33 of 100 remaining)

An actual book! That's right: in addition to the PDF and eBook, you will receive the bound paper of yore, signed by yours truly. It may not mean much yet, but I do have a lovely signature.

Estimated Delivery: May 2012

Pledge $50 or more Pledge $50 or more

4 Backers • Limited Reward (46 of 50 remaining)

Same as $25, but two books, one or both signed.

Estimated Delivery: May 2012

Pledge $75 or more Pledge $75 or more

1 Backer • Limited Reward (9 of 10 remaining)

One book, signed or not, all eVariants, and a one hour phone interview with me on the subject of your choice. I expect the subject will be something about madness or drugs, but I can also do tech support and help you play bass better if that's your thing.

Estimated Delivery: Mar 2012

Pledge $150 or more Pledge $150 or more

4 Backers • Limited Reward (6 of 10 remaining)

Two books, one or both signed, all the e-variants, and coffee with yours truly anywhere in Manhattan or Brooklyn. (Note: you are invited to read the book and decide whether or not you want to meet me. If you demur, other arrangements can be made.)

Estimated Delivery: May 2012

Pledge $500 or more Pledge $500 or more

1 Backer • Limited Reward (4 of 5 remaining)

The same as $150, except this time it's dinner at the New York City restaurant of your choice (within reason: if I could afford $100-per-plate dining for two, I wouldn't be on kickstarter. French and Italian preferred), as well as a mention in the book's acknowledgments.

Estimated Delivery: Jun 2012
