WELCOME TO THE AS THOUGH DEAD KICKSTART PAGE.
First of all I want to say thanks for reading this and thank you for your time. The video clip is a test scene we decided to do to provide you with a quick look at what we hope to bring to the film. Thank you to the actors and crew for their help to make this scene possible.
The Film
The Film starts with a very eager young guy named Michael who wants to make a movie that takes place inside a church about a guy who sees a ghost. On the first night of filming, a young girl named Kate runs into the church screaming and interrupts the filming process. She tells everybody in the church that everyone outside is killing each other. Everybody inside the church is lead on a journey that will reveal the truth behind all the strange events happening. The stages of the end of the world has started with the rapture process, but it's unlike anything you can imagine.
As Though Dead is the title of the film. It's a creative and new look at the events that happen during the end of the world. It focuses on the rapture event. This film will take to you on a journey that will scare you out of your seat and at the same time it will provide a journey of faith. This unique story was inspired by a dream. That dream motivated me to write a script that is unexpected and full of character's that have life. I describe the film as 28 Days Later meets From Dusk Till Dawn.
I will use the money to produce the film. I own all my own film equipment which we will use to film the movie. It will be filmed with an Canon HV30 with a Handy 35mm adapter and Canon prime lense. The cost of all the equipment hasn't left much for production. The kickstart money will go towards location fees, paying crew members, actors, and craft services as well as helping to pay for minor special effects.
