About this project
American Tapes is celebrating its 900th release with a music and cultural event in Detroit featuring artists from the United Kingdom, Denmark and the United States.
The free event will be from 2 to 10 p.m. Saturday, April 23 at the Destroy Compound, run by Apetechnology Chip, in Detroit.
Funds raised will go to the touring and local musicians and help pay for food and hospitality for the bands.The lineup includes:

American Tapes was started by John Olson, Bryan Ramirez and Jeff Dunn in 1990. Olson continues to run American Tapes, releasing limited-edition handmade records, homemade sounds and artwork. Unique, international underground sounds.
