Hi! We're two short filmmaker's John and Julie. No we're not related even though our parents were smart enough to give us both names that start with "J"! Anyway, we're entering our film in the Austin Film Festival even if we have to sleep in a cardboard box while eating SPAM and crackers to do it! We'd rather not of course. (It's rainy in Southern Louisiana and there are rodents of unusual sizes!)
That's where you come in. We're kickstarting our project to get funds to finish our short film "The B@$t*rd!" in time to enter it into the Austin Heart of Film Festival. Our film is a bawdy romp about a wimpy nice guy who never gets the girl of his dreams. That is until he enters "The B@$t*rd" Reality TV show. Will he be the show's next lady killer and finally win the girl or will it all go horribly, horribly wrong?
We think there's nothing more fun than making people laugh and this is our chance to do that across family, friends, the Austin festival, and whoever sends us a pledge!
But filmmaking isn't cheap and we need your help in covering the cost of SPAM, crackers and filmmaking! Your pledges will be used for:
-final video shooting
-post-production editing
-sound design
-first shipment of DVD copies
-Austin Heart of Film festival entry fee
-promotional handouts for the festival
