About this project
It's a simple question really: Would you use this typeface?
The Typeface
In 2009 I launched my digital type lab - pstype.com. The first release was an ultra black display face and matching italic called Quatro. In 2010 I created a companion slab serif design of the same weight titled Quatro Slab. Now, in 2011, after several comments and inquires about the typeface I've decided to expand Quatro once more to a full family of weights ranging from Light to Ultra Black in both the sans and slab styles.
The final type family will consist of a 16 fonts - 4 weights with matching italics in each style. Each font will have the full Latin-1(256) character set and be produced in the OpenType format.
To the right you will find specifics as to what funding level each of the goods will be received:
The Specimens
There are going to be three type specimens created to accompany the typeface:
1. a 3.5 x 5 inch pocket sketchbook with Quatro featured on the cover and 32 blank interior pages
The sketchbook will look something like the above images
2. a 12 - 16 page booklet highlighting Quatro and its features
3. a 19 x 25 inch Letterpress poster
a 19 x 25 inch Screenprinted poster

The Funds
Where and how will the money be put to use? Just about all the money will be used for time and production of the typeface with any left over funds going into the creation of the specimen pieces. If there is still remaining money it will be put towards my next type project(s).
