Urban Kids Inner City Dance Project will present a performing arts workshop in the  Detroit Michigan area. A recreation of the Musical Production "The Wiz" interpreted from a kids perspective.  An awesome musical dance production to be held in December 2012.  We will be offering a free five month long performing arts workshop open to inner city kids in the Detroit area. Together these kids will become the cast and interpret the original production of "The Wiz". We will hold rehearsal three times per week. During the process they will learn to sing, dance, and dramatize the musical production in their own unique way.  Help support UKICDP, a group of 40 Inner City Kids ages 3-12 fund this production.  We need to rent out rehearsal space, a performance venue, purchase costumes, props, build a set for the stage, and get t-shirts for the kids.  Every aspect of the production will encompass the kids as the actual cast members. The kids will be involved in creating the production from start to finish. Allowing and giving these kids the opportunity to use their imagination,creativity, expressions, and talents to enhance an exciting and complete Performance arts experience.  The workshop begins in September and the Production will be in January 2013, so we welcome any and all support for a succesful project for the Urban Kids Inner City Dance Project.
