SYNOPSIS

After forging an unexpected connection, Sharon boldly decides to live in the moment and follow her heart, while leaving her tired relationship (and a painting) behind.

AITA is in the vein of talky indie dramas like Roger Dodger, Before Sunrise, and In Search of a Midnight Kiss that focus on relationships, while trying to build tension in one confined setting like Tape, Breakfast Club, and My Dinner With Andre.

MATTHEW MANUS, Director/Producer

Matthew Manus lives and works in Los Angeles.  He's written for, produced, and directed live sketch comedy shows, feature and short films. Dropping In: The Don Wimmer Story, his first feature length film, was well received at festivals and developed a cult following among OG (old-guy) skateboarders the world over.  In addition to filmmaking, Matt is always trying to figure out how to gracefully pull out other tricks up his sleeve.

ADAM GAINES, Writer

JESSICA SHERMAN, Casting Director

Jessica Sherman, an LA native, attended the University of California, Riverside where she received her BA in Economics and Administrative Studies. After college she started out working at the voice-over agency, AVO Talent, where she discovered her passion for casting and has worked consistently in casting offices for the last year and a half. She has worked with A-List casting directors including April Webster and Alyssa Weisberg. She worked on the Bad Robot productions Alcatraz, Super 8, Person of Interest and Star Trek 2. Sherman has also worked on independent feature and short films in between her work on studio, big-budget projects. DAVE NEWBERT, Director of Photography

Dave Newbert, a Philadelphia native and an award-winning cinematographer, has been working with a camera since he was thirteen. Since his move in 2004 to Los Angeles, he's worked on major network shows like Heroes, The Starter Wife, and  Make It or Break It. His success continued into features films, having worked on movies such as Bruno, I Love You, Man, A Single Man, Hangover 2, and Thor.  Most recently, he just wrapped Larry Clark's (Kids) new film, Marfa Girl, slated for a fall release.

STEVEN HELMKAMP, Bradley

Steven is the lead in two upcoming features: Street Eyes & The Last Trip. On TV, he has Guest Starred on: Justified, Hollywood Heights, The Young and the Restless, and The Glades. He is the new spokesman of Dave & Busters, a national commercial that begins airing June 8th. Jessica Mathews is a producer, actor, writer and co-owner of Springfield Films. As a producer, dozens of her award-winning short and feature film projects have been seen in festivals across the country. She is currently pitching several television shows to networks, including Bravo, The CW, E!, Oxygen and A&E. DAN STELLER, Editor

Dan Steller is a Visual Producer and Video Editor for Rosetta Stone's Visual Creations Department.  He is an alumni of The New York Film Academy, Indiana Wesleyan University, and the Los Angles Film Studies Center.  While with LAFSC, he interned with Jersey Films during the production of the pilot for Reno 911 and the movie How High.  After college he became video editor for Awaken Films, working on such projects as the Crave and Wide Awake Film Series, distributed by Lionsgate.  AITA marks the third collaboration for Dan and Matt, after having teamed up before on the independent films Dropping In: The Don Wimmer Story and Korean Barbecue.
