Update #6: Thank you!

Posted on April 7, 2010

We did it! Thanks to everyone for their generous pledges! Even though we reached our goal a while ago, it was really great to see people to continue to support our project. The additional funds have allowed us to expand our project, letting us purchase more kegs, a bigger freezer and a better juicer.
We're sending out your incentives sometime in the next couple of weeks, so look for an email asking you for your mailing address.

We'll be doing Saturdays at the Brooklyn Flea this spring and summer, as well as a few other events, so we hope to see you all soon.

thanks again!

Update #5: mentioned in the NY Times food blog

Posted on March 23, 2010

sorry for the 2nd update in less than 48 hours, but we got mentioned in Diner's Journal, the New York Times food blog! Thanks to Eric at the Brooklyn Flea for passing our name along... we'll do our best to not disappoint

Update #4: Successful scale up and root beer floats all around!

Posted on March 22, 2010

We have successfully scaled up using 3x 18L kegs, our giant freezer and our industrial juicer (our little beast!). This could not have been possible without all of your support, and while not everyone is in the New York area, we do hope that at some point we will have a wider distribution network. In the mean time, and in celebration of spring, here are some photos of the scale up tasting, our friends as tasting guinea pigs, and the root beer floats that resulted.

Update #3: BklynSodaWorks now on Twitter!

Posted on February 26, 2010

Courtesy of our PR agency (or Caroline's sister, Sarah), we're now on Twitter!

Also, just finished bottling a couple of samples... been playing around with different logo ideas (with help from our roommate, Stephanie).

A disclaimer is necessary here: we do not have a bottling license so we cannot send or sell bottled soda (yet...)
