A microbudget feature film being shot in Chicago and New Orleans this Summer by award winning production company Mobius Films.
TASMANIAN TIGER is the story of Wally Starks, a career-obsessed orphan whose attempts to forge a dependable and tranquil future for himself spin out of control after news reports of a deadly hurricane trigger a flood of mysterious dreams from his childhood. Unable to stop the chaotic onslaught from his subconscious, Wally loses everything and is plunged into a world of con-men, hustlers and dreamers, where he is forced to confront his own mixed up notions of life, love, and career. TASMANIAN TIGER is an absurdist comedy that takes a bawdy look at one man’s struggle to master the fundamentals of life.

WHAT YOUR MONEY WILL GO TOWARD:
OUR GUMBO FOOD TRUCK: It was stolen the day after we bought it. We need money to buy a new one.
LOCATIONS AND PLANE TRIPS: We have several different locations in the film, and cast and crew travels to get there.
FOOD: To keep our crew happy and healthy, we need to provide nourishment to keep bones strong and heart-rates normal.
EQUIPMENT: The cost of filmmaking has become incredibly affordable fortunately, but that doesn't mean handy-cams are the way to go. We're planning to shoot on the new Canon 5D MarkIII. The mobility of this camera keeps our crew small and days short.
PROPS: The most important prop in our movie, which we intend on giving away at the end, is our GUMBO FOOD TRUCK prop car.
We've been fortunate enough to find some amazingly talented cast and crew to donate their time to our film for free, allowing your donations to benefit the film in these other areas.
WHERE OUR FILM WILL PLAY
Our goal is to show Tasmanian Tiger in film festivals around the world. Our production company, Mobius Films, has relationships with several festivals from past projects and we're hoping to enhance that relationship with a continuously evolving body of work! With festival acceptance, we gain notoriety in the film industry and the chance to play at theaters near you.
