I'm still putting together the hive-building video. In the meantime, check out my recent honey harvest from an experimental hive that I started last year (the bees didn't make it through the winter).

Wow. I am totally blown away by everyone's support. You are such an amazing group of individuals. Thank you all so much!
Now it's time to roll up the old sleeves and get to work! I've got rewards to make, plans to lay and hives to order and build.
I'll keep you updated. Bee good!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. It actually looks like this might just happen! A month to go and 20% of the goal is left to raise.
We can do it!
Mother Earth News just posted my first article for the bee blog they are hosting. I'm going to be updating it throughout the spring and summer to keep everyone updated on the project's progress. If you'd like to give it a gander you can find it here: http://www.motherearthnews.com/honeybees-and-beekeeping/saving-the-honeybees.aspx
Can you help spread the word about the project? A blog post or Facebook update or tweet can go a long way!

This is the "apitherapy package." None of the other rewards go with this one. Just bee products that some people use as health aids. You will get two pints of honey, a package of propolis and a package of freeze dried pollen. My honey is "rough filtered" meaning it has small propolis and wax particles in it from crush and strain harvesting that is strained through cheesecloth (you likely won't notice, but it's in there). It is always raw, so it will tend to crystallize. The bees will be in southwest Michigan surrounded by woodland. Many hay fields are in the harvest zone and very little, if any, sprayed monoculture that the bees will visit is nearby.
