About this project
We've reached our goal!
Now what? Well, first and foremost, a huge thank you to everyone who has contributed. A lot of repeat backers, some new friends - thank you all for making this happen. So what happens with any additional funds we raise? It's an important question. Anything exceeding our Kickstarter goal goes towards additional expenses. Extra time with a few pieces of big rental gear, additional equipment to make production run more smoothly, a little extra craft services love for our hard working crew, these are all things that directly impact the production quality. What is extra funding not used for? This is the really important question. When we ask for crowd funded financial support, we believe in putting these dollars directly on screen. Kickstarter funds are not used for marketing, distribution, festival submission fees, or any other services that aren't directly related to crafting a film. It's an important distinction for us and we think it will be for you too. If you're considering donating but haven't yet, know that your support will directly impact the finished film.
Synopsis: Estranged from his family, a small time drug runner is caught hiding a stash at his uncle's restaurant... and realizes his crime may not be the only one buried beneath the town's favorite diner.
About the Kickstarter Project: Our first Kickstarter project was a huge success. Thanks to over 100 supporters, we raised our funding and were able to complete our short film, Remember Your Death. RYD is on the 2012 festival track and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out or the response we've gotten so far. So we're going to do it again.
This time, we've simplified our goal...make a really, really entertaining movie. Five characters, in one location and we want to keep ratcheting up the tension. We've brought in a new member of the team, writer Rob Pilkington, and his script hums. New themes, situations, and production challenges await us...and this time we want to do it for half the money.
We're keeping our incentives simple because we want you to see this movie. Everything we're doing is going towards crafting a really thrilling half hour of film.
You can of course pledge more than the set amount for any incentive, and keep in mind that Kickstarter is all or nothing. If we fall short of our goal in the time set, your card won't be charged and we will not receive any funding at all.
Match your Remember Your Death pledge: In addition to the rewards on the right, we have an additional incentive for our Remember Your Death donors. Match your previous pledge and receive a DVD, no matter the size of the donation. Anything over $50 gives you the option to upgrade to Blu-Ray.
Production Preview: We had the benefit of working with a great storyboard artist as we prepared our Kickstarter video, but here are some examples of our past work to give you a better sense of what this production will look like:
