      Been using mine on my bicycle commute to work for a while now, and I'm very pleased. You do lose bass and audio quality, but that's a result of physics and something you have to trade off with this sort of design. I bought them for podcasts and books on tape, which sound fine and are easy to understand while ambient noise is not diminished at all. I feel safe wearing them in traffic and have not been surprised by a car yet.

      My biggest concern was that they wouldn't stick in the ears well over bumpy roads and whipping my head around, but that's proved to be a complete non-issue. They're plenty comfortable and stay right where you put them.

      I haven't tried yet, but you could potentially use your media player's equalizer to put some of the lost bass and midrange back in while using these.

      Got mine just in time for Christmas and now that I've had time to use them in a variety of environments (read: my bathroom and kitchen) and activities (read: using my bathroom and walking to the fridge) I have to say I'm very pleased!

      At first, my glow-in-the-dark AIRbudz were a little rough on my ears; but once they're broken in, they feel just as comfortable as your accident-prone, ordinary ear buds. I was very pleased with glow produced by my AIRbudz, too. They were just as bright as many other glow-in-the-dark products I own (it's my favorite color!).

      The functionality of the AIRbudz is spectacular! It's amazing what I'm able to hear when using the AIRbudz. Think you can secretly pass gas just because you see me rocking to my favorite tunes? Well not anymore!

      I would've probably smelled it anyways.

      The AIRbudz earphones + carrying case aren't the greatest but they are sub $20 and get the job done just fine.

      It should be expected that you'll lose sound quality when using the AIRbudz; most notably, bass. But that's a small price to pay for situational awareness.

      Overall I am very, very happy that I had the chance to support your project! Thanks so much for such a great product!

      Received the budz last night and they're very nice! I did put on the small ones and there's already a minor tear near the bottom; the cut on the plastic doesn't seem as clean as I hoped it would be (the plastic isn't smooth on the inside and bottom of the budz), but these are very good when you're with other people and want to hear them.

      I tend to find myself ignoring others because of my other earbuds, so these budz will be useful to remedy that problem. It does feel like the sound is muted, but it is better than the alternative of only an earbud in one ear. Thanks and good luck with this neat invention!

      In regard to your question; yes, we worked with many different designs which included working with the size of the Airbudz in many areas. Our primary focus was (and continues to be) to ensure that ambient noise is allowed into the ear. As I mentioned in a previous post I believe that ears are only second in uniqueness to finger prints. We worked to find a design that ensured ambient noise getting into the ear and a level of comfort while in the ear (also a design that would stay in the ear during motion) for all the many different ears out there!

      Remember - Airbudz are intended to be a safe alternative while listening to music or talking on the phone with your earphones in environments where safety is a concern. They are not intended to be a replacement for your noise canceling buds. For those times that you want the high quality sound and safety is not a concern we suggest you go back to the noise canceling buds. As you know when you don't have a tight seal (like the noise canceling buds give you) you are going to lose some bass (even if that is a very small opening). Also, the type of earphones may be a factor as well (how much bass is delivered). One of our motto's at SafeSound is: Lose a little bass or lose your life... :)

      Rest assured we are already working on new designs to give buyers more options to meet their specific wants and/or needs. Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it!

      The problem I have so far, is that sound quality goes down totally. There is simply no bass, mids are thin, the audio has no body. While I was expecting something like this (there are technical limitations), this is just too extreme to be enjoyable. I guess you may have tested different designs and have chosen your options accordingly. Did you try lowering the size of the air vents by 25%, so to get more massive buds? How was possibility to hear the environment, then?

      Mine just came today! The packaging is gorgeous. The headphones that came with the 20+ tier seem a little too treble-y, but hey, these are built to use with any headphones.

      Thanks Jordan! You mentioned that you are using the small size Airbudz but they are a bit loose in your ears. Is the Airbudz tip loose on the earphone stem or is the Airbudz tip too loose in your ear? If the tip is just loose in your ears I would suggest using a medium or large Airbudz tip instead of the small. If the Airbudz tip is loose on the earphone stem you may need to use them with a different earphone that has a larger/wider stem. Like your girlfriend, I also have tiny ears. I use the small size Airbudz on Sony earphones that have a small earphone stem and they fit really well. If the small size Airbudz are put on earphones with a large/wide stem it will make them fit more like a medium. We are currently working on new designs that will accommodate all the many different ear types out there! Once we complete our Kickstarter commitments we will go live with our website and Facebook page and will post updates there. Thanks for your support!

      Just got mine today! Pretty cool design, love the awesome multi-color options! The ambient noise also comes in about as consistently as the audio feed. Nicely done!! =) One question though - I'm using the smallest size with my Sony earbuds and they're still a bit loose in my ears (this might be due to the general span/size of the earbuds that I'm using); are there any plans to make any smaller sizes of Airbudz? (My girlfriend loves them too, but she has tiny ears!) Thanks =)

      Brian - The Airbudz should only go into your ear as far as your existing tips do (not any deeper). The Airbudz are designed to create a gap/space in the ear canal to allow the ambient noise in. Because there is no longer a tight seal, you are going to lose some base (that might be why they sound tinny to you).

      I got mine a few days ago and I love them. They let in a little more ambient noise then I was expecting but they do exactly what they were designed for, I can listen to my music at work and still hear when people are shouting across the room at me like I did yesterday. They make a great addition to my IEMs :)

      Just got mine yesterday and I LOVE them. A few people at work have already asked where they can get them from, and they fit great. So comfortable compared to normal buds that I'm going to order some more colors too!!

      Thank you for keeping us updated and working hard to improve the product. Most of us that use Kickstarter know that we are basically beta testers. You have shown allot of effort to get it made right and to improve it. I much rather wait a little longer then get a piece of crap. Also you have updated when there is something worth updating. I have funded another kickstarter that has not updated since he got funds. that is allot more frustrating to me.

      When you select the $20 pledge change the amount to $40 instead of leaving it at $20. If you don't have the option to change the amount I think there is an option to add additional dollars (increase the pledge amount); just add another $20 so your total at checkout will be $40. If you have selected the $20 pledge and the amount is $40 or more we will know that you want more than one pair.

      I wish I could be more specific but I can't look at that part of the system because I can't pledge towards my own project. I hope that helps. If not, let me know and I'll have someone else pull it up for me and get back to you.

      trying to do two 20 pledges, Amazon doesnt give option to do that. Tried just doing it twice, just wants to confirm my pledge, Can anyone please help? and i am VERY excited about this new design, especially for my daughter, even at 19, i still worry about her and her safety!
