Hello! My name is Toney Jackson. I'm an elementary school teacher, and I love to write and share, whenever possible. I'm attempting to raise $2,500 to publish my first two children's books: There's a Button In my Belly (a collection of original poems and silly, simple sketches) and I'm Jack, I'm Black, (an easy reader, with an important message).

Why do I need your help?
Publishing is expensive! For years I've been jumping at opportunities to read in classrooms, at assemblies, share on FaceBook or YouTube, at open mics, and various other venues. I've printed and bound several assorted collections of my poetry, in attempts to reach as many readers or listeners as possible. I need your help to properly and professionally publish two books that I have poured my heart and soul into creating. I will also be developing a website, from which to launch the marketing campaign to reach as many people as possible. *"chapbook" versions of the books, are pictured below.
What happens if we reach $2,500?
With a minimum of $2,500 the project will move forward, and the two titles will be professionally printed and ready to share with the world!
What happens if we don't???
This is an all or nothing project, so if all of the funds are not raised, the project is cancelled, and no donations are put through. Credit cards are not charged unless the project goes ahead.
What can I do to help?
1) Donate! :) Hopefully, either some of the rewards sound enticing, or the project sounds worthwhile.
2) Share with your friends/family! Spread the word (and link, of course) to anyone that you know, who might be interested in supporting a teacher/poet/and aspiring children's book author.
