Synopsis

"It's opening night!  With only hours to spare, it's up to amateur theatre producer Jeremy to pull things together for his latest play when EVERYTHING starts to go wrong.  But does he have the patience--or the passion--to succeed?  Join the cast as the chaos unfolds in real time, and Jeremy copes with script changes, unruly actors, mutinies, mayhem, and Magic Mushrooms."

Written by Jeremy M. Eden & Dan Eden, "I HATE THEATRE!" is a feature-length adaptation of the play of the same name.  This ensemble comedy provides a fresh group of talent, as well as commentary on what it means to be an independent producer in Chicago theatre.

How can I help?

Our minimum goal is an additional $5000 for the budget.  Our theater location is already secured, so any contributions we receive will go towards production equipment: new computer for editing, designated hard drive, additional camera batteries and memory cards, props, wardrobe, and other production expenses.  All of these are intended to help the production and post-production run more efficiently.  Batteries and memory cards will allow us a longer, uninterrupted shoot.  A new computer and harddrive will allow us to save ALL footage to create some excellent Behind-the-Scenes features.

About the Campaign

• If (and ONLY if) we reach our goal by the deadline, your credit card is charged only the amount you pledged.
• If we do not reach our goal by the deadline, your credit card will NOT be charged (and unfortunately you won't receive the rewards.)
• The good news?  If we don't reach our goal, the project can still proceed, albeit less efficiently.  We hope to have this movie shot, edited, and ready for release by the end of this year.  If we don't reach our goal, shooting and editing will take longer and extra footage cannot be saved for the DVD release, pushing the entire project into 2013.

Final Word
