Update #5: Signing Day
Hi Friends,
We've been working hard to get everything ready: printing prints, painting paintings, signing records, and personalizing thank you notes.
We stopped by the Polyvinyl office before our show in Champaign-Urbana last night and dropped off everything because the Polyvinyl crew volunteered to mail it all out for us while we are gone on tour.

Update #4: Thank You!
Hey friends,
We did it!!! Will and Phil drove down to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma to get our new van and we got it licensed Thursday morning.
It’s a 2000 Dodge Ram with 80K miles. That’s 180K miles less than Buff. And it’s a million times better on the inside, too. Right now we’re calling it “DeeZee” because of the running boards (check out the picture below).
The grand total was almost exactly $5,000 (that includes licensing fees, taxes, gas money to Oklahoma, and a minor turn signal repair). We couldn’t have done this without you guys and we’re so grateful for all your support!

All the artwork is almost finished and ready to go. We’re going to mail everything this week.

With less than two weeks to go, we would like to offer you the following suggestions. Remember you must abandon all shame.
"Top Ten Ways to Get the Van and Bass Amp You Want."
10. Barter with a music store-- free concert for a new bass amp.
9. Let the car dealership that gives you the best deal advertise on the side of your new van.
8. Start a separate Kickstarter project for the bass amp.
7. Offer to play a wedding reception or graduation party in MO for a $500 pledge
6. Hit up more relatives, especially anyone you may have already immortalized in song.
5. Write and record a jingle for a business that pledges $500.00
4. Write and record a song to commemorate someone’s wedding, funeral, Bat Mtzvah etc. etc
for a $500.00 pledge. (We hear that is how Paul Rudd got his break)

Update #1: Van Search Underway!
Hi friends,
Wow, I can't believe we already reached our goal. Thanks so much for all your pledges!!! If you'd still like to donate, there's plenty of time. We'll be able to buy a much nicer van if we can raise more money.
Here's an update on the pledge rewards and our search for a new van:
1. Will is working really hard on all the paintings.
2. Our friend Daniel Zender just finished the Let It Sway tour poster. It's pretty amazing, am I right? He's going to start screen printing them next week and we'll have them for sale on our tour. You'll get a signed version of this poster if you pledge $150 or more.
3. It's hard to find a good van on Craigslist. Some of them look like this (one van is actually from Inception).
4 and 5. We just saw an ad for a nice looking van in St. Louis. It's a 2002 Ford Econoline E350 that used to be owned by a Hilton hotel. Will and I are arranging to test drive it ASAP.
I'll keep posting more updates---hopefully a video of the test drive. Maybe we can find another Merle Haggard song to cover.
Also, we just added new West Coast tour dates for our future van. Check them out on the main page.
