Update #2: Four More Festival Accolades, Plus an Adjustment
First the good news: our script has gotten four more film festival accolades which makes a total of six we've earned so far, including: New Hampshire Film Festival (Top Four Screenplay); Jacksonville Film Festival (Top Ten); Film Shift Film Festival (Finalist); and the prestigious (for screenwriters, anyway) Austin Film Festival where our script was judged a 'Second Round Finalist.'
Now, for a bit of an adjustment to our fundraising campaign.
It's hard not to notice that I didn't get anywhere near our goal of raising $30,000 for the production of our film. Of course, there are lots of reasons for this, but the primary one is that I set our goal way too high.
So in the next week or so I'm going to try and do another Kickstarter campaign, this time with a more realistic fundraising goal (and mixed with a super interesting announcement.) I hope you'll be able to join us as a sponsor.
In the meantime, thank you SO MUCH for your faith in me and this project. By making your pledge, you not only helped the project along, you gave me the strength to keep working. Your show of support helped more than you'll ever know.

Update #1: We've been accepted to two film fests!
Good news! Our script has been accepted to two independent film festivals — The Naperville Independent Film Festival which, last year, hosted film critic Roger Ebert, and the brand spanking new Flagstaff Film Festival which just informed us that we’re a top five finalist.
