As part of the Yeiser Art Center Residency program in Paducah, KY we are providing a workshop on Paverpol, a fabric stiffener.
We have been invited to a residency through the Yeiser Art Center in Paducah Kentucky. As a part of that residency we would like to have a workshop that is free and open to the public based on using one of the materials our installation will employ - Paverpol. We are seeing how far that material will take us into three-dimensional space artistically. We are using it as the base material for suspended forms that are at their limitations for weight requirement, but become ambiguous by that. We are working with this material with the knowledge that the American "Cottage Industry" discovers many materials, such as basketry and quilting, that are made available to the modern artist. Paverpol is a non-toxic fabric stiffener that once cured is weather resistant. We would like to bring this wonderful material and fabric to those who participate in the work shop and we would like to be able to supply that material free of charge to the participants. To see our work go www.Sondra-Schwetman.com and www.PatrickWilliamsSculpture.com.
