Hey there Kickstarters!
So the time has come. We've got only 10 days and (as of this second) $5,179 left to raise. We're doing out best to reach into new pools of potential backers, but we need your help! You pledged to this campaign because you believe in The Geography of Youth. An overwhelming number of you are complete strangers to us, and certainly have different social circles, friends, mailing lists... we're asking you to reach into your networks and share this project with them. We are so close! We just need that extra nudge to get us over the $16,000 mark. Thank you all again for your support! We love you and we're working hard to make you proud!
Love,
Mo & Alan
Hello to all you fantastic backers and fantastic potential backers!
We've received some feedback that many of you would love to spread the word about the project, but need a new way of doing so. It is without further ado that we present for your viewing a sharing pleasure, a short video specifically designed to promote our Kickstarter campaign!
You can find everything you need to share this video all over the great wide interwebs right here: http://vimeo.com/21593512.
So please, share away! And thank you, thank you, thank you! Let our stories be told!
32 days until our Kickstarter campaign ends, and (if we make our goal), only 102 days until we climb on our bicycles and pedal for three and a half years! Here's a short list of good things happening:
We've been getting a lot of press on blogs from Hong Kong to the UK to the USA to Brasil. We have to say, all that international love feels pretty good.
We're lecturing next week in Buffalo, NY, and our last show (and bike tour) Project Tandem opens at a gallery there on the 1st.
We're securing new sponsors every week (though still nailing out the details with some- which is why we don't have them all listed yet). We're getting close to having almost all our gear needs covered by sponsors! That's pretty amazing.
A really wonderful local place called Salt Water Farm is hosting a benefit for us on April 16th. All the proceeds from that benefit will go to our Kickstarter campaign... which is good, because it'll end the next weekend!
So all this incredible stuff is happening, but we feel like our Kickstarter campaign has stalled a little bit. Since we only have 32 days left, we think it's probably time to kick it into high gear. BOOM! (That's the sound of us kicking it into high gear). We truly believe that there is enough support out there to get us on the road, we just need to spread the word and we need your help to do that.
Each of you who have already donated have your own network of contacts- please help us out by sharing this project with your people. We need to raise just over $10,000 more, and while this may sound daunting, we think that working together, we can make this happen. So post, repost, email, tweet and share our videos (we made a new video, below, of our first training ride of the season, and we'll be making more soon), and lets see if we can raise just over $10,000 in 32 days! Thank you all for the love! We love you back!!!
