Dr. Goyle returns for more slam-bang, monster fighting fun for all ages!! When trouble rears its ugly heads, who you gonna call?
Dr. Goyle is the story of a slam-bang monster fighter with a chiseled jaw (literally)! Aided by his brainy sidekick, WIlbur, Dr Goyle battles the things that go bump in the night, as well as the ones that go crash, bang, and thud.
Dr Goyle is an all ages comic that is all about fun! Inspired by the great Saturday morning cartoons of the past, the scares are silly, the villains outrageous, and the heroes, well, HEROIC! If you are a fan of The Tick, Johnny Quest, Scooby-Doo, and Sherlock Holmes, then this comic is for you!
Dr Goyle was created back in 1999 by myself, and Mike( Battlepug, Green Arrow) Norton. We wanted to have a great comic that everyone could enjoy, because we felt that is was sorely needed in the industry. Now I'm bring the Doc back in a series of 4 (possibly 6) issues, because I believe people would enjoy his adventures.I will be writing, penciling, inking, and initially lettering the book.
Each issue also features a pinup by various artists with their interpretations of the Doc. Many of these artists have never had a piece published professionally, so this is their chance to be seen.These folks are good, REALLY GOOD. They deserve to have others ooh, and ahh over their work.
This is where you come in as backers, The biggest expense for this book is printing and coloring. All the money raised for the campaign will go towards printing costs and paying for the colorist, and possibly a letterer down the road, depending on if I can keep up the pace of doing everything else myself.
Anything over goal will go towards making more issues, and possibly collecting them into a trade for release next year.
I would also like to put together an issue of just sketches of Dr Goyle done by various artists. I have more artists wanting to do pieces than spots in the issues to show them all. So I'd like to have a nice book to let those be seen. Again, this only happens if we go over goal.
The main objective is to meet goal and get the issues out! So tell your friends, tell your family. If you think more comics for all ages are needed, then back the campaign! This comic is for the enjoyment of everyone, from ages 6-66!
