@Nate I don't care about Chip/Pin but if you still have some neurones on your head they are asking because this is a project not a product that is already on the market. So whats that mean you're asking?? It's a concept with some prototypes and the final product it's not produced so some changes can be made in the process. If someone ask for Chip/Pin and the iCache people can add to the project that feature it will be great for both parts since Geode don't lose a lot of backers and the backers can have a good product that they can use. So if iCache people can add that feature they will add it and it suppose to tell everyone before project ends so backers don't go away. They can add the feature later after the project is funded but that means

If people would read the FAQ and the previous questions on this matter you would know that the Geode card does not have the feature of a chip/pin. The chip that is on there is strictly for interacting with the Geode itself. If you can't use this device then stop complaining and don't back it.

Glad I'm in the good ole USA, don't have to worry about the Chip and Pin for a hecka time. Doesn't seem like anyone around these parts are looking to implement it anytime soon. Tho it would be nice for traveling overseas to have the option where it is being used. So GEODE gonna atleast clear it up for folks?

I asked the Chip/Pin Question several times without a response. :( So I have to decide whether to keep or cancel my pledge. At the moment I think i will cancel it in the next days. There are only 2 days to go. :(

This was one of my first concerns. Can you encode the chip with the pin data (not sure how that would be possible). Like Yuhann said, Australia is moving to more chip/pin terminals with contactless functionality. If the Geode can support Visa Paywave, might be a good solution. That said, for the next while there will still be the ability to swipe and sign for a payment.

Same here in Canada, PIN and Chip, swipe is being phased out for debit/credit cards. I don't even think there are debit cards that have swipe anymore...

Santi Go, this is how it might be in your country but here in Europe there is only chip and PIN all over the place and Geode seems to be unusable here. I just have to decide whether to keep or cancel my pledge. It would help very much if any iCache official (Jon?) would answer that question! I guess I am not the only person who has to make this decision.

Honestly, I Don't See The Need For Chip & Pin. It's 2012, That Technology Is So Dated And Hardly ANY Merchant Has The Terminal To Take That As Payment. FOH With “BUT does it do chu and Pin.” PFFFFT.
