A New England Love Story is a romance story with a twist, and it takes place in New England. Oh yeah, we're filming and editing the entire film on an iPhone 4s. Along the way we'll be using an iPhone 3G to document the entire thing from reviewing equipment to shooting to interviews and the editing process.
A New England Love Story is the story of Jacob, a budding young scientist who is torn between the world of science and the world of the supernatural. He is drawn to the Festival of Ghosts in a sleepy New England town where he meets geeky ghost bloggers, a bitter talk show host and a variety of odd characters including the woman who will change his life.
A few people have used an iPhone to shoot a short film then they load it into a big expensive Mac and use After Effects to make pretty titles and special effects, then edit the entire thing in Final Cut Pro HD. Whew! We're going to do ALL of that on an iPhone. But this isn't just a technology experiment. We're out to prove that you can tell a story better than Hollywood without the Hollywood budget or equipment. This is a feature length film with a fantastic cast and a great love story that will leave you with chills and not just because it was shot in chilly New England!
You can meet the cast, our award winning director, and check out some of the tech we're using to shoot the film, even watch the test footage and teaser! But, we're trying to keep the budget low, only for props, travel, food and lodging. So, if you don't fund us, alot of the behind-the-scenes footage will be shot of us sleeping in cars.
