A short film from Northwestern University's Studio 22
College has begun and Danny is having trouble assimilating into its bizarre social order. Awkward and shy, Danny has always had difficulty making friends.
But Danny is not like other people--he has recurring hallucinations.
While his hallucinations, Matt and Peggy, seem to have good intentions, they are ultimately hindering Danny from forming any relationships with people a bit more, well, substantial.
But when his parents drive away, he has to do just that. As his first few hours in college tick away, Danny discovers that the frightening and foreign new world of college might instead be an opportunity to form actual relationships.
This short film from Northwestern University follows Danny in his first 16 hours as a college student while simultaneously exploring the boundaries of what is real, and what is imaginary.
Sometimes they aren't as different as we might think.
