Turn-based strategy game for Facebook and Kongregate. Play as James Aleshire as he rescues his pirate crew from Doctor Driftwood.
A New Gaming Frontier
Now that you've watched that video (If you haven't yet, go ahead. I'll wait.) you're probably slightly confused, considerably entertained, and rather curious— though not necessarily in that order. My name is Glen Sanger— you saw me a few minutes ago in the video. I'm the CEO, Producer, LotD, Creative Director, and Co-Founder of Spark Brilliance Productions. Last year, Co-Founder, Design Lead, and Art Lead James Feeman and I sat down and worked out the idea for a game that would break the mold of what a Facebook game should be. We wanted a game that serious gamers could play on Facebook as well as something that non-gamers could play that would be more engaging than waiting on a timer to click a button. The world was ready, we knew, for people to start taking social media games seriously. The result was Clockwork and Crossbones.
Ok, What Is It?
I'm glad you asked! C&C is a Turn-Based Strategy game that will be released initially for Facebook. You the player create and control fleets of pirate ships which you use to sink the ships of your opponents— simple enough, right? However, we bring a few extra things to the table, some never seen before, such as:

- Episodic Single-Player Campaign: Once a week, we will be releasing a new level— and with it, story— of the single-player campaign. Follow the dashing privateer James Aleshire as he works to rescue his crew from the dastardly devices of the diabolical Doctor Driftwood and interacts with a wide assortment of unique and memorable characters— often through full-on naval warfare!

- Steampunk Setting: If you haven't heard of Steampunk, now's the time to look it up. Brass gears, jets of steam, nice hats, and goggles make up C&C's unique world of Boston Harbor, year 14XX.

- Completely Customizable Fleet: Instead of using pre-made characters with very little customization potential in your TBS, wouldn't you rather have the freedom to fully customize to your play style? Take the nine base ship types and outfit them with items, captains, and equipment that change their stats and abilities to allow for unique strategies.

- Multiplayer PVP and PVE: Multiplayer PVP is nothing new to the world of TBSs. The majority of them have some form of player-vs-player combat— it's one of the genre's major draws. However, C&C provides the unprecedented ability to go on multiplayer co-operative missions against opponents. After all— you couldn't be expected to face a monstrous mechanical Kraken by yourself.
That's Awesome, But What Do I Get?
We here at Spark Brilliance have a wide array of goodies for those cool enough to donate to our project. They range from in-game content to T-Shirts to becoming a part of the force designing the game! Take a look to the right to see the full list. PLEASE NOTE: If you select the $150 or lower tier, you get EVERY LEVEL before it. If you select a tier higher than $150, you get that tier, and all of the tiers $150 and lower.
What If You Go Over Your Goal?
That would be awesome! Right now, the $5000 is the bare minimum needed for this game to launch. We're already well into development, but the last few months of push (we're aiming for an April release) need your help! If we go over, we'll look at expediting the release for other platforms, getting our high-quality work done quicker, and possibly updating our episodes regularly more than once a week within the first year.

Due to the unforseen inability to send attachments over Kickstarter's message system, the Captain's Chair will be released along with the forums, in an exclusive area for those who have donated $40 or more. To make up for this, the Captain's Chair will run after the start of the project a number of weeks equal to as many as takes to put up the forums.
