  I'd like to second Mike's call for a second printing of ICA. I missed the first printing, and I'd also like to get the full series.

  Any word on a second printing of imperial crusade? Particularly interested in getting the full series. Also, I see the box for Freedom is smaller - will the second printing of crusade be in a similar smaller box?

  Will we get a pdf with the ship cards like we did for Armada? I'd love to play with the new ships/rules vs the Armada Fleets with my friend before the actual printed cards are shipped. The png's on the project home page are too low resolution to really make out what the stat blocks are for each ship.

  Good news everyone! According to James there WILL be an Armada Reprint Kickstart and there WILL be a limited number of extra copies of Freedom that will be available in the Armada Reprint Kickstart. Stretch Goal! If you're on the fence pledge now and get us all that stretch goal!

  @Sputang - I'd say get 2 now if think you might need it. You can always sell it later if the game isn't to your group's liking. That's how I got my Armada copy. Not trying to up the pledge either, I don't make even a penny on this. $35 is rediculously low for 2 copies IMO. If James DID order extra copies of Freedom I believe he would sell them as extras in the Armada Reprint Kickstarter rather than sell them on his website jengames.com but he hasn't told me his decision yet.

  Sputang - I am not saying this to try and get you to up your pledge but... James did not print any extra copies of Imperial Crusade Armada, so the only way to get the original is going to be another (hopefully) successful kickstarter campaign. With only $4500 gross on this one (and kickstarter's gonna snag ~15% of that), and over 200 copies to distribute to backers (my guess is that shipping alone will be $1000), I don't think he raised any extra capital to print excess copies for sale.

  @The_Healer - Thanks, mighty kind of ya. For my part I've waived my writing fees in exchange for card sets (which means I don't get paid unless the KS meets goal) and even put in a pledge myself as a Christmas stocking stuffer... fingers crossed.

  My I suggest offering one of the stretch reward cards as an add on bonus for $10 this would give people incentive to up there pledge. I vote for the mobile base card myself.

  One of the good strategies I have seen for promoting a Kickstarter is to send a broadcast message out to all the current backers and ask them to thumb one of the images on BoardGameGeek to get it on the front page. I recommended that James do this but haven't seen anything on it. Hopefully enough people will read this and thumb the image.

  Is there any way we could get some more pictures up at BGG or the intro video posted there? I have thumbed the picture that is there and posted to Facebook but would like to help drum up more interest. If we could get more pictures in the Board Game Geek matrix we might raise the interest level. Also maybe an update on the Kickstarter to get some people talking as we are getting close to the end and I really want to see this succeed.

  Mike - and others asking about including Armada in the Freedom Kickstart:
  I'm working with James on this project now and I'm right with you on wanting to get more Armada decks. I bought mine off someone who got 2 in the Armada Kickstart.
  I'd like to see Armada in here in some fashion in the WORST WAY but James is trying to break even this time around. I took a look at his books and he actually lost money on Armada. He's a really nice guy and I'd hate to see him lose again.
  
  The cards are the biggest expense and there are minimum numbers to print for him to even break even. If he puts up an Armada option WITHIN the Freedom Kickstart and only 100 decks are pledged he will have to pay the manufacturer much much more than he will recieve. The only way to guarantee he sells enough to at least break even is to have a separate Kickstart for an Armada reprint.
  
  To be honest I would have set prices about 50% higher but James has a vision of getting the game to you at the lowest price he can manage.
  I'll talk to James about him purchasing extra FREEDOM decks to include in the Armada Reprint Kickstart and keep looking for any way to bring the Armada decks in.

  The plastic cards are really expensive to manufacture so after my experience with printing Imperial Crusade Armada I realized that I had to change something. I'm positive that the current pledges of one or two copies can at least break even. I've lowered costs by having less types of cards but the same number of cards in each box. I also plan to control the stretch goals this time because I really want to release the final six factions for the game so I need the game to be self sustaining. I've always tried my best to keep the price of the game as low as possible.

  The extra cards + tokens packs cost less (to make) than a full copy right?
  If you lost money last time, just make the pledge cost higher. :)
  Or you could make a 4 copy level for those who want extra cards.

  For the Imperial Crusade Armada Kickstarter campaign I lost money on every pledge with an extra set of cards and tokens so I no longer have that option available.

  I want to assure people that if you order Imperial Crusade Freedom that you will be able to order a copy of Imperial Crusade Armada. I would love to offer Armada with Freedom but the plastic cards require a very large quantity to be order for me to break even on each order. I plan to run a reprint Kickstarter for Imperial Crusade Armada as soon as Freedom finish. I need a certain pledge amount in order to print the game. I will alwayssupport Imperial Crusade Armada and keep it in print.

  you still have 29 days to go which is plenty enough time to add the option of adding the first game to this list. if the number of plastic cards to order is your hesitation, adding the base game as an option (instead of running a seperate kickstarter) will allow you to order that many more cards and make the purchase of those cards that much more cheaper. please add the base game as a pledge level and watch me and many others order two copies of each :P

  I plan to run a reprint Kickstarter for Imperial Crusade Armada once this project ends so you can get a printed copy in a few months. I need to print a certain number of copies to get the plastic cards down to a reasonable price point.
