YOU GUYS IT'S HAPPENING OH MY GOOD GOD
Through the extreme generosity of many, we have hit our goal in just half the time we gave ourselves. I can't even describe my excitement, except to equate it with some sort of combination of the largest fireworks show in history and only with the magic kind Gandalf busts out in Lord of the Rings, the first moon landing, the actuality of everlasting world peace, the defeat of Y2K, and reanimating the dinosaurs for modern times in Ben Ewen-Campen's lab having solved all the problems of Jurassic Park.
THIS IS GOING TO BE INCREDIBLE. The project has gotten a lot of attention, thanks entirely to your enthusiasm sharing it - see the main project page for links to various articles, it's wild! The funds we've raised will cover all the basics - securing the house and making it safe to play in, and the raw materials of the pit itself. Now, with ten extra days to exceed our goal, we're getting into the real luxuries I know you're interested in. Number 1 is a bathroom, if we can afford it (wouldn't that be nice!). But making promotional materials (possibly including t-shirts), making an effective and efficient anti-rain solution (working on engineering a retractable tarp roof - seriously), providing refreshments, building storage for people's belongings - this is all crucial to a really great Ball Pit experience. Keep on the grind, we're doing great!
