Update #3: We did it! Now... lets keep going

Posted on November 15, 2010

We hit our $5,000 goal last night. Now, lets keep going. The more money we bring in, the more days we can shoot, the closer we are to completing the film. Lets try to at least double that.

And a big THANK YOU to all of you who already donated.

Update #2: 75%! Lets keep going...!

Posted on November 9, 2010

We are now almost 75% towards our goal! I am very optimistic this will get funded. Lets hope we can go way beyond our goal.

When this Kickstarters gets funded, we will gear up for the next shoot traveling to Illinois to interview: two allopathic doctors who now work with homeopathy,a few of their patients, and later an historian on the history of homeopathy in the United States. A jam packed shoot for sure.

Update #1: We are getting there!

Posted on November 6, 2010

In a little over a week, we are 40% towards our goal!

Please keep spreading the word and keep going!!

As for the film, we just came back from a shoot in Arizona where we interviewed Dr Iris Bell (MD, PhD) and Todd Rowe (the founder and President of the American Medical College of Homeopathy) All very exciting and informative.

Laurel Chiten (Blind Dog Films) is an award winning independent filmmaker, making films for over 30 years. Her films have screened at film festivals around the world, won numerous awards, been nominated for an Emmy, and been broadcast on PBS’s Emmy winning national series Independent Lens, and POV. The intention in all her work is to entertain her audiences while educating them.

Note from the filmmaker:

Films take many years to make -- a lot of blood, sweat, tears, and money! Every film is like giving birth to a 350 lb elephant. So why do I do this? Because I have experienced first hand how films can enlighten, educate, inspire and transform.

I am deeply passionate about this film and hope to get it completed as soon as possible and release it to the world. Many of my previous films were about medical conditions -- translating personal stories into universal and broad concepts. I am not afraid of tackling controversial subject matter.. My former films “Twitch and Shout”, “The Jew in the Lotus”,” Twisted”, and “Touched” helped raise awareness and changed attitudes. This film will have an even greater impact-- it could potentially save lives.
