After his arm is broken by a bully, a love struck kid decides to beat him and impress his schoolyard crush all with one big game of marbles.
The Diablo Valley Film Club has teamed up with local professionals all over the bay area to help them produce their latest film.
The professionals will be heading up each of the departments, while students from the film club will take apprenticeship positions as 2nd AC's, grips, wardrobe assistants, 2nd AD's...It's a perfect chance for students to get on-set experience that they would be hard pressed to get elsewhere.
All the crew is locked in, the script is finalized, but we're in the midst of pre-production and suddenly remembering how expensive movies are. $2,500 has already been donated from various fundraising, support from the school itself, as well as a few just really nice people.
This additional money is for our camera package. We think it's critical to give the students as professional of an experience as possible, so this means renting professional equipment...again...expensive. We have someone who is giving us a considerable discount, but we still need $350 to have enough for this rental.
It's hard to shoot movies without a camera, so a helping hand would be greatly appreciated.
