Why is VOTA doing this?
Though we have a national record deal, our label pays for marketing and distribution of our album, we have to pay for recording costs ourselves. We thought raising these funds through Kickstarter would be a ridiculously fun way to directly involve our fans with the recording of our next full-length record.
Why Kickstarter, and what is it?
Kickstarter is an online pledge system. It's a unique way to raise funds. It's not a donation, it's more like an investment, where you receive incentives back for your dollars pledged. When you pledge a dollar amount to help fund VOTA's next album, VOTA will pledge a reward back to you. There are a variety of dollar amounts with a variety of rewards listed on the right of your screen. You choose the pledge package that is most exciting to you! The cool thing is, your money is safe, your credit card will only be charged after we reach our target goal, ensuring that you will only be contributing toward a project that will actually happen. It also means that if we fall short of the goal VOTA won't receive any of the contributions. So it's all or nothing!
Why $15,000?
$15,000 is the MINIMUM we need to record a professional product. We hope to raise $30,000 through this campaign to cover mixing, mastering, artwork, travel, etc.

What's the new VOTA album going to be like?
It's going to be AWESOME! We can't wait to share these new songs with you! Matter of fact, for everyone that pledges we are going to immediately send you a few demos of brand new songs that we will be recording! This album is going to be fun, pop, rock, dance, diverse, meaningful, ...basically everything you expect from VOTA. A great listen from start to finish.

Whatever amount you pledge towards our new album supports a relief effort in Kenya Africa with Food For The Hungry.
