What a week!

We've learned a ton since we launched Plant Link last Friday. In the seven days since we first went live we've had some amazing conversations with our backers. People from around the world have contacted us with some incredible offers. Thank you so much to everyone who has messaged us about Plant Link!

In return for the stupendous support that we've seen from our backers we wanted to tell everyone about our next set of stretch goals. There have been a lot of requests - both in the public comments and in private messages - from backers for some specific features, and we think we've found a way to make some of the most popular requests a reality.

Today we are happy to announce that if we reach our $75,000 goal our smart valves will be battery powered.

Addationaly, if we can reach $90,000 in pledges we will be able to offer a developer API for Plant Link as well as color options for the Links.

If we can really stretch things and hit $115,000 we will add the ability to sense sunlight and soil temperature to each Link.

Even though we didn't reach our stretch goal of 100% funding in a week we're still on track to be a huge success here on Kickstarter. Let's see how far we can grow our community in the next 22 days!

      @Bas - Glad you're excited about it! We've gotten quite a few requests for that feature.
      @Anna and Harald - Keep on sharing the project so we can hit the API goal! :)
      @Athanasios and Brad - We're pretty confident that at the rate of our current pledges we'll hit our $75K goal. We think the light and temperature sensors will be a great incentive to exceed that.

      Hopefully in the future there can be solar powered versions of the links and valves.
      I think that would really enable/increase the viability of using this in larger scale plantations.
