Update #6: Luck You Funding Goal Met!!!
With under two days left on the clock, the full $15,000 funding goal for Luck You Collective's first year in action has been raised!!! Thank you all for the unbelievably generous support that you have shown us over the last month on kickstarter, this has been one of the most exciting and productive months we've experienced together so far.
To all the backers that donated small and large, THANK YOU SO MUCH! And to all those that couldn't donate but help spread the word THANK YOU TOO! To have people believe in a project that is just getting off the ground means the world to us. This could not have happened without you all. The good breeds good spirit of what we are hoping to achieve with Luck You Collective has shone through already.
Happy Holidays, and New Year!! Over the next couple days we begin the manufacturing and shipping of the rewards that everyone has pledged for. Expect more updates soon, either here or on our blog at www.luckyoucollective.com. Thank you again to all of our backers!
Best
the LYC crew.
Update #5: Milestones!
What a week it has been. Yesterday we reached the $10,000 mark in donations! Thank you so much for the support so far. This has been an amazing month of surprises, and we are so close to achieving the goal. We have under 5,000 to go, and a week to reach it. We can do this! Please pass this on!
The Open Studio was so much fun, thank you to everyone that showed up and hung out! The all ages silkscreening workshop was awesome, kids 5 and up printing their own shirts. Look out for more photos soon, but check out some here.

Update #4: Luck You Cupcakes?!
It has been a productive week at the space, preparing for the Open Studio and Zine Release Party. Check out photos of the production line here. We have been hard at work, silkscreening shirts, folding color and b/w zines, and hanging the originals on the walls of the studio.
If you are in NYC, please drop by 2-7 pm, at the studio on 48 Ludlow St to see all this.
We are at the half way point in our deadline, and we are about the same to reaching our funding goal, we are very grateful to everyone that has donated so far. As of this post, we only have $8, 318 dollars to go. The glass is half full, and it is your doing. Thank you so much for the support!
And a HUGE thank you for Kickstarter for posting us on the front page.

Generously donated for the Open Studio!!
Update #3: Show Photos and Paper Mag!
Today we wanted to share some pictures of one of our favorite early art shows that we put on called the "A Portrait Show" that happened in June of 2009 at a friend's house that was undergoing construction. The show combined an eclectic mix of styles under the basic unifying concept of a portrait, and came together with artists as young as 5 (Beo Kuma Allard) submitting pieces. You can take a look here.
Also, thank you to Paper Mag and Curtis Kulig for featuring us in their November Art Issue, in the article "Ten Young Artists to Look Out For". Check it out here.
We are so excited to continue this on a larger scale. As of this weekend we've reached over 28% of our goal in donations and are on our way. But please remember if we don't reach the our full funding goal, we won't receive any of the pledged donations. So we need your help! Please donate if you can, and pass this on to your friends or post it on your blog. Thank you so much already, and together we can keep the ball rolling!

I am a silk screener and musician born and raised in New York. I grew up circuit bending toys to make cool sounds, and playing with them in bands around the city. These days, I work with my brother Jack designing clothing and printing at our studio in Chinatown. I believe in the unlimited potential of young creative people, and Luck You Collective is our way of making something out of that energy.
