About this project
More Human Than Human explores the lives of six genetic Replicants as they supersede their emotional design limitations and accept their emerging, artistic humanity. Designed to serve the needs of humans in the off-world colonies, a commando, a whore, an assassin, a roughneck, an au pair, and nuclear weapons loader make a desperate plan for an escape to Earth, an extension of their lives, and unrestricted liberty. Training for the departure brings them closer together than few of their kind have ever been, despite a potential threat from within. A sense of creative destiny takes hold of the group and their ultimate fate will cause a revolution. For fans of Blade Runner and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, this bold re-imagination will fill in the blanks formerly left to the mind of the beholder.
Funding for this project will allow us to stage eight shows in San Francisco. The goal for this project is to enable another run at another theater, whether locally or outside the Bay Area. Your money will go towards: theater rental, tech/sound crew, rehearsal space fees, modest compensation for the actors, props, costumes, and promotion (posters, cards, website, etc.).
The initial eight shows will run at The Dark Room, on the following dates:
November 4 - 5
November 10 - 12
November 17 - 19
All shows are at 10:00pm. No one under 18 years old will be allowed without parent/guardian.
