About this project
We are Parachute Musical from Nashville, TN, and we need your help! We have been very busy this year. We've toured the country over 7 months and released 3 singles (with 2 more already recorded still to come!). Although it's been a challenge, one of our rewards has been that we've actually managed to stay debt-free. Now it's time to reach out and take a step up by recording a BRAND NEW full-length album. Parachute Musical has come across an amazing opportunity to work with the best and one of our favorite producers in the business. However, with the current state of the music industry, record labels aren't signing deals and handing out money like they used to do. That's why we're asking for YOUR help in donating to our Kickstarter project to raise the necessary funds that go into recording an album: producer, studio, mixing, mastering, manufacturing, and releasing. You'll get all kinds of gifts from us, including the record, of course, no matter how much you're able to donate. We believe in you as much as you believe in us, and as much as we believe in ourselves...now that's a whole lotta believin' going on! And it's that faith that's gotten us where we are today and will continue to take us where we must go tomorrow.
You may ask yourself, what are our future goals with this record? Having a new record begins a long and steady work path for Parachute Musical. We now have a NEW product to sell (not to you of course, you helped pay for it)! This gives us a reason to go back out on the road and continue to expand our growing fanbase, putting us into the spotlight more, little by little, until the inevitable "right place, right time." We use the word inevitable because we believe through perseverance, hard work, and sheer enjoyment, our goals and dreams WILL come true. The biggest mistake that anyone in a similar situation can make is to stop. We do not believe in this option. This is our life.
A new record is also a current snapshot of the best version of us: who we are right now! As a band, we continually grow through writing new music, traveling, and performing together. That's why, especially at this stage of our career in this business, it is important to have something brand new and great-sounding representing us when we can't be everywhere all the time. An up-to-date recording is therefore invaluable, as it so often supersedes us. You hear people say, "Their last record is good but they've gotten so much better in person now! I can't wait for the new album!" Well, neither can we and neither should you.
Helping us make this record become a reality aids us in continuing our dreams, our passions, our lives, so that we may be a testament that NEVER giving up breeds success. We are clear-headed and goal-oriented, and all of our hard work is prepared to meet its opportunity. But we need your help.

Parachute Musical isn't what it used to be. Since it's conception in 2003, the Nashville-based, piano-fronted indie rock quartet is building a better city with perfect song-craft, highly energetic performances, and a hearty work ethic. Since the sold-out shows for their sophomore release, Everything is Working Out Fine in Some Town (2008), and their single, No Comfort (2010), these charmingly handsome brunettes have been touring the U.S. nonstop and have built up quite a loyal following in the process. It's the good looks really, though.
D.C. natives Josh Foster (vocals/piano), Tom Gilbert (guitar/vocals), and Ben Jacoby (drums) deposited themselves into Nashville just a year before releasing Everything is Working Out, and work out it did. The guys settled in place after discovering Tennessee music man Andrew Samples (bass/vocals). Foster's soaring voice and detailed compositions are the perfect home for Gilbert's unique, artistic style on guitar. Samples' driving bass sparks a fire under Jacoby, setting ablaze a well-matched rhythm section.
The new sound is a step ahead in the right direction. Foster's lyrics remain heartfelt while the music becomes stronger. It is original and well-rehearsed; they're so tight you'd swear they were all wearing girdles. These guys are having fun, no doubt about it, and there isn't another band in Nashville more ready to be taken seriously.
