kInDeRdEuTsCh pRoJeKts returns to the U.S. this summer to premiere our new play Arctic Hysteria.  We are thrilled to air this frosty, glittery new international work for you, but we need your help in the final push to make it happen.

Set in a kingdom of artificial snow and imagined Eskimos, Arctic Hysteria follows an aging warlord as she attempts to pass on an unwanted kingdom of ice to three ungrateful daughters.  In the process she descends into madness, taking her children and the play with her. A dark comedy for the end of the world, Arctic Hysteria is performed bilingually in German and English, with stunning visuals, a full surround sound installation and crisp, stylish movement sequences.  Part musical, part B-grade incest porn, part disastrous sparkle pop music video, it is an experience not to be missed.

This is kInDeRdEuTsCh pRoJeKtS’ fourth production with playwright Abi Basch since its founding in 2005. Past works have been produced internationally by companies and festivals such as the Ontological-Hysteric Incubator in New York, Intransitos Gallery in Berlin, Patravadi Theatre in Bangkok and the Theater Without Stages Festival in St. Petersburg. The company received an Austin Critics Table Award and a B. Iden Payne Award for fEaR oF a FüHrEr, “Must See” status from the Hildesheimer Allgemeine newspaper for Preservation, and praise for Foreign C. from Time Out New York, which likened the actors to “Wim Wenders angels.”
