We love film, it is our life and our turn to show Hollywood a new generation of film makers who will tell stories for little money, yet make big meaning films! With your help we are convinced that we can begin doing this by shooting "Route 69", an adventurous story that will touch everyone that has ever had and over come any sort of struggle in their life!

Of course our dream funding goal would be much more to give this daring Independent film all it deserves, but instead we decided to set the amount low enough to at least rent all equipment and pay a skeleton mini crew and call in any favor we can. So we added that up to the minimum of $59,000 dollars. A little background on this story; When I wrote this script four years ago I handed it to the late Fred. A. After reading the script he said to my surprise it was one of the best scripts he ever read and told me this movie has to be made. Since that time Fred passed away and now I am inspired to realize this dream that I shared with him. Fred A.Wyler was the biggest encouragement for me to continue my screen writing, and now with your help, to produce this film in his memory.

"Route 69" was written with off beat humor, revealing the dark side of human nature. It is a gripping and heart felt story that will take you on a roller coaster ride of laughter, tears, and suspense.

The scenario is about two professional hit men who have been in their prospective jobs a little too long. Their relationship is very much like a dysfunctional old married couple. Complacent not to change their professional relationship, instead they would rather bicker and complain than call it quits and go their separate ways.

Having lost sight of reality after years of killing, they handle their professional jobs with a deadly outcome and in their private lives as well; murder seems to be the only way to solve their problems. The smallest struggles, casual meetings, and even bad dates are subject to one simple solution - death. So the body count gets bigger and bigger as they make their way through life going from job to job and town to town.

This all comes to a sudden halt when both fall in love with their latest marks!

Now our killers make plans to quit their “day-jobs” and end their relationship as they take a stab at what they think is a normal life. Instead of killing their marks they will now kidnap them and run. But this makes them the hunted themselves as “The Agency” cannot tolerate professional hit men running off into the sunset with their marks. But, are the two kidnapped marks also in love with their killers or just pretending as they desperately try to find a way out of the potentially deadly situation???

The hit men are pursued by the Agency’s most ruthless killer, as well as some locals who want revenge for all the death in their county. The two killers find themselves trapped in a web of deceit and lies, unable to trust anyone, even each other. However, their only choice is to follow the lead of their two kidnapped marks, who, in spite of all the madness, have come up with an amazing plan of riches and escape. As the two kidnapped marks learn to use the skills and ruthlessness of their captors, they appear to be falling in love, or is this just another deception???

All hell brakes loose as getting the cash ends up not being as simple as promised. Only two will be able to walk off into the sunset. Who will it be?

WHAT ARE WE DOING? We are trying to raise the minimum funds, $59,000 to produce this film and get it out there to the film festival circuit, starting with the Monaco Charity Film Festival where "Route 69" has already been pre-accepted, just on the basis of the script. http://www.monacofilmfestival.org/

All the actors working on this film are doing it for the love of the craft since this script is somewhat a "Tour de France" for the acting chops. Therefore all actors are willing to work on a deferred basis and/or completely free of charge. This includes others participating such as catering, the producer, and most all of the crew.

We will all pull together to see this film made as we believe this film will make a difference not only in our lives, but also others who will be entertained by this captivating story, cinematography, and raw 'true to life' acting...and all done together with donations, a shoe string budget, and YOU.

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO? The money raised goes directly into the budget. We need to rent cameras and equipment, and some people will ask for a small but deserved paycheck such as the DP (director of photography), the sound department, lighting crew, original music, and editing. These are the key people that will basically help us to guarantee a fantastic cinematic look and sound of a feature film geared towards a Theatrical Festival release like Sundance and the Monte Carlo Charity festival.

If more money is pledged above our goal, it will go directly into the film as an added bonus in enhancing the quality of the film. May it be one more added featured song, a rental for one more day of steady-cam, a crane, an extra camera, more or better lighting, basically anything technical that can enhance or up the ante of quality for our film.

But please don't let the cover of the book fool you as in all these years what became my profession to act and make believe in action films I came to realize one thing; I love film, in every aspect and it is my calling to write and direct. In "Route 69" I will play an older disgruntled European hitman, who is eternally bored and tired of his partner, while at the same time battling his inner conflicts he constantly seeks some sort of thrill no matter what!

Leslie began a modeling career as a Max Factor model in the 80's, then went on to be the face for several International print and television campaigns. While raising two sons, she had a very successful career as a model while dabbling in acting as a Television Hostess for ’The Best of Santa Barbara Entertainment’, as well as numerous Television commercials and student films before landing a role in “The Cannes Man’ (1996), directed by Richard Martini. After taking a long break from Hollywood she recently Exec Produced and acted in a soon to be released full feature film, ‘Swishbucklers” (2010), directed by Yule Caise, where she plays the roles of Lady De Winter, "Domino" the Transvestite, and “Mistress” De Winter. www.youtube.com/watch... - . In "Route 69", Leslie will be playing the down and out character of Sarah who is on the run after years of domestic abuse, just to be kidnapped and possibly killed. Despite all of this and having a deadly hitman fall in love with her, much bigger problems follow.
