Update #3: CD release show at Le Poisson Rouge!
Dear all backers,
We're very excited to announce our RELEASE SHOW for FLOCK!
To everyone that has the record and who supported us, thank you so much.
And we hope you can make it out NEXT Wednesday Feb 23 for our CD release show at Le Poisson Rouge. The show starts at 7pm and we're on slightly before 8. This is our big NYC event to celebrate the record and we hope you can make it!

Update #2: THANK YOU and ... going for $4000!
Hi everyone,
We are SO psyched to have gotten this far and have already exceeded our goal amount!
We wonder whether we can push beyond our dreams and actually go past the $3500 to compensate for Kickstarter's 10% fee and to start to compensate for the hundreds of dollars in CDs and T-shirts we'll be buying for all you guys!

Destroying walls between jazz, art-rock, avant-squonk, and mathed-out prog, Gutbucket's through-composed charts enter a place of pure sound. The decade-old New York quartet is not only equally comfortable playing in front of 900 sweatily pogo-ing teenage skate-punks, a crowd of cosmic indie-psych freaks, or on an anarchist German art collective houseboat, but most importantly, their music fits right in. Called "stomprovisors" by the Village Voice, the band has spent the past 10 years injecting a shot of glorious spazmitude into the minimalist cool of the New York downtown scene.
Gutbucket has released CDs on Knitting Factory, Enja, Cantaloupe, NRW, and Cuneiform Records, and has toured to 33 US States and 19 countries throughout the US and Europe.... touring to major jazz festivals and clubs.
