This last month (this last week, in particular) has been the most amazing, elating experience. It's been so wonderful putting my work up to the public and getting such a supportive response. It reaches me in a way beyond just "being funded" - I feel good. You did that. You have my most sincere thanks.
So...
Kickstarter tells me that once Amazon processes your pledges (which should go smoothly, but might take a few days if there are any bumps), they will put a Hold on the funds (for fourteen days). After that, the money can go to the bank (which will take four or five days more).... : )
Not to worry. I've got stuff to do. I'll be sending out the first of a few Surveys in the next day or so, to collect mailing addresses and other info I'll need for the various Rewards. I've got some fancy databases all coded out, waiting for data! Plus, there's still work to be done fitting the new Traveller5 content, illustrations, and of course the Player Characters and Supporters' Pages into the book!
Once the book goes to the presses, it'll be about six weeks 'till they get to my hands. But I'll be using the time wisely, and getting all of the other Rewards printed and squared away. Once the books arrive, things will go quickly. There will be no such wait for the digital Rewards, however - as soon as the new book is assembled, you'll start getting download links. Look for these early-to-mid August, as promised in our Rewards!
I plan to make weekly Project Updates, Sunday evenings, until everything is wrapped up. So, keep your eyes open!
