Thank YOU for your Kick's. Each one has been very well received and we have already raised $1,521 for Shoot 2! That's $4,479 to go on the 2nd Thriver. This is SO exciting to me. I'd spent ages trying to figure out how to break it up so I could take baby steps. I am over the MOON with JOY at the results, support and effort.

We believe that no matter where you come from, your education, your background or your experiences you can choose to Thrive. This is a story about "10 people from around the world that were sexually abused by a family member and are thriving today!"
Sexual abuse is like mold, it Thrives in the dark! Our goal is to illuminate this aspect of life and get people thinking, talking and standing up for themselves and those they can help. Choosing how we want to live our lives is our option!
We are breaking down the documentary into 10 shoots, this $6K is for shoot No.1. Currently there are 6 thrivers from 4 Countries that qualify. Myself and a camera/film expert will be the only people filming and interviewing, if anyone has seen "born into brothels" this is the style of filming I have in mind. Simple, honest, direct and to the point. "born rich" needs credit here too, this movie solidified my goal of ten people.
It's really important to me that this project NOT be driven by my personal need for living (surviving). I do other thriving things for that:) All funds received will go towards costs involved in filming, travel and editing. As a first time film maker I'm 100% open to your comments or tips on budgets, filming, editing or even Thrivers. Feel free to send me your thoughts.
If we reach our goal with this entry it means first shoot is happening March 2010.

Born and raised on a farm in South Africa, I took my first flight at 5 days old….:) After 12 years of city living I’m back in nature and living my dreams!
Currently sharing yoga and yoga inspired clothing & events. Taking long walks with my dog Rafa and working on a documentary based on 10 people, from around the world that were sexually abused as children and are THRIVING today, it’s fun, meaningful and gives my life purpose – I love to live by those rules!
