Hello to my dearest Kickstarter backers!

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the start of spring. I'm very excited to share with you the You Dream of Kingdoms album cover, which features a beautiful painting by my friend Jeff Wigman. The back cover is included here, too, which reveals to you all the full track list for the very first time. 

We've been working hard on the album over the past several months. We've finished all the recording and a lot of the mixing and are now in the final mixing stages. I'm so happy with what we have - thanks to amazing recording and engineering work by PJ Goodwin and phenomenal musicianship by Adam Clark (drums), Brendon Wood (electric guitar), Dan Fox (bass) and Jonah Rapino (violin). I can't wait for you all to hear it.

I am going to do another smaller fundraiser to raise the money it will take to complete the mixing and physically produce the CDs. I'm so appreciative of all of your donations, which have gotten us tantalizingly close to finishing a record that I am very proud of.

I'm working on a video that debuts one of the songs from the album and shows a slideshow of highlights of our recording process. I think you'll enjoy.

I will continue to keep you posted as we move into the final stage and your copies of the album - as well as your other gifts for your generosity - will be on the way very soon.

Hello Backers,

As a little New Year's treat, I'm sharing a few videos for you from our studio session today. You can get a little taste of a couple of songs, as heard by PJ and I through the "control room" speakers while guitarist Brendon Wood tears it up in the other room. We were working today from PJ's home studio. It's feeling great and we're having fun - getting closer and closer to a finished product, which I am so excited about.

Hello Friends,

In dark and challenging times, when our small world is faced with tragedies like what happened in Newtown, Connecticut, I feel like music becomes even more important. I really believe that we all need ways to touch into the beauty and wonder even (or especially) in the most difficult times - and for me, music has always been the way to do that. It's also a way to reflect on and be present with the painful emotions we all feel. This is why I feel good about putting a lot of time, energy and heart into this project - it's an offering to a world that very much needs good art, music, and writing to lift us up and inspire us. 

Earlier in the month, PJ and I spent a full weekend in the studio working on the record. We're making great progress and it's beginning to really come together. I can't wait to be able to share it with you all. We're getting closer and I'll keep you posted. Here are a few pictures from our recent endeavors.
